"Single-User" (Stand-Alone PC) Configurations

• Purchasing a one-physician license for a personal computer (PC) will permit entering and tracking the patients assigned to one physician.
• If a practice has more than one physician whose patients will be entered and tracked on a single PC, then a license specifying the number of physician slots needs to be purchased. For example, if you have 3 physicians whose patients are to be entered and tracked, you will need a 3-physician license.
• This copy of DiaTrends can be installed on only one PC at a time.
• The one-physician single PC license is available for $2,280.

• The license may be upgraded for additional physician slots at any time.

"Multi-User" (Network) Configurations

• For a network with a central database, a license specifying the total number of physicians (one or more) whose patients will be entered and tracked needs to be purchased. For example, if you have 5 physicians whose patients will be entered and tracked, you need a 5-physician license.
• The DiaTrends application can be installed on any number of workstations in the network, with one central database installed on the server. The license also needs to specify the total number of concurrent users, which is the maximum number of users (workstations) that need to be able to access the central database simultaneously.
• The central database (on the server) will limit the number of physician slots and concurrent users to the number specified by the license as above.
• Network configurations are available for introductory prices starting at $3,360 for a one-physician license with 2 concurrent users.

Support and Upgrades

Your purchase entitles you to enhancements, upgrades and support for 12 months. Technical support is provided by web/e-mail, phone and fax. After the initial 12 months you will be entitled to purchase an annual subscription agreement (at no more than 25% of the license price), which provides you all enhancements and upgrades to keep your copy of DiaTrends current, as well as ongoing technical support.

What Are the Minimum System Requirements for DiaTrends?

The minimum recommended system requirements for DiaTrends version 4.1.36 are:

• An IBM-compatible computer or network.
• Processor: An Intel Pentium (or 100% compatible) or higher processor running at 166 MHz or faster. (Recommended: Pentium II 200 MHz or higher).
• Memory (RAM):
  • At least 32 MB of memory for Windows 98 (1st or 2nd edition) or Windows Me. (Recommended: 128MB).
  • At least 64 MB for Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows Server 2003. (Recommended: 128MB).
  • At least 512 MB for Windows Vista. (Recommended: at least 1 GB).
• Operating System: Microsoft Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0 (with service pack 6 or higher), Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 or Windows Vista.
• If networking (i.e. installing the "Multi-User Workstation" and/or the "Multi-User Database Server" on a network):  a network card, and networking software running one of the supported network protocols (TCP/IP, SPX, Named Pipes or Shared Memory).
• A CD or DVD drive (or USB port) for installation.
• Internet Explorer version 5.5 or above.
• Minimum hard drive space:
  • 200 MB for a "Single-User" (stand-alone) computer (database and program); or
  • 210 MB for a "Multi-User Database Server" plus "Multi-User Workstation" on a network server (database and program); or
  • 190 MB for a networked "Multi-User Workstation" (program alone).
  • Of course, this is in addition to the space required for Windows and your other applications.  The exact disk space required depends on your operating system.  Before starting to install, the InstallShield wizard dynamically shows the actual disk space which will be required.
